With him, the interview would have ended in twenty mins, and if they tell me about the curiosity point, I made this interview round go up to thirty mins because I had questions about specific things. The SPM who took my interview mentioned that he himself is from a different team and does not know about the role much. If it was a domain mismatch, why did HR waste their time doing five rounds? Also, not a single question was asked related to any specific domain during the interviews. She mentioned that there is a domain mismatch, and the curiosity for the role is less. On the third day, when I called HR, she mentioned that they are not proceeding ahead and that the feedback with reasons that she mentioned were baseless plus do not match, and does not map back to individual round assessments and feedback. I kept checking with HR for three days and she kept telling me she is going to get an update at end of the day. Sentences like "we are happy with you", "we got the vibe", "is there no way you can join us in x days or so", and "discuss with HR if the role excites you" was made by the senior PIC in the last director round.Īfter all this, I waited for two days for HR to confirm it formally but did not receive any update. In the last and final round (which happened in person at the office), it was communicated to me by the senior pic in product management that they are happy to proceed and clearly mentioned discussing the role with HR.
